Sodium Acetate is a white or non-color crystal. Its density is 1.45, melting point is 58°C. It is deliquescent in wet air, and efflorescent into white powder in dry air. When heated to 123°C,it will lose the crystal water and become sodium acetate without water. It solutes well in water and little in alcohol.  

It is used as the esterifying agent for organic synthesis, photographic medicine, medicine, printing and dyeing mordant, buffer, chemical reagent, meat preservative, pigment, tanning and so on. Can be used to make various chemical products, such as furan acrylic acid, acetate and chloroacetic acid. As a buffer for flavoring, this product has a certain anti-mildew effect. It can also be used as an acid agent. Mixed with methyl-cellulose and phosphates, it is used to improve the preservation of sausage, bread and sticky cake.

Used as an ordinary analytical reagent, mordant and buffer, it can also be used for dye synthesis and film washing. Used in medicine, printing and dyeing and organic synthesis as a mordant and buffer, also used in dye and pharmaceutical industry for printing and dyeing, medicine and photography, as well as esterifying agent and preservative.
