Zolmitriptan (311C90) is a dual action 5-HT1D/1B receptor agonist originally synthesized by Glaxo Wellcome (GM), but subsequently developed by AstraZeneca for migraine. It acts peripherally in the brain by constricting cerebral blood vessels, and centrally at the trigeminal nucleus.
