Tetrahydrocurcuminoids (THC) are derived from curcuminoids (extracted from the roots of curcuma longa, commonly known as turmeric root). Tetrahydrocurcuminoids are phenolic in nature, acting as antioxidants, protecting against free radicals and preventing the generation of free radicals. Unlike yellow curcuminoids, THC is a colorless compound which can therefore be used in color free cosmetic products that currently employ conventional and synthetic antioxidants..

 Function

The whitening effect of this product is superior to arbutin because of its strong activity of inhibiting tyrosinase. It can effectively inhibit the generation of oxygen free radicals and remove the free radicals that have been formed, and have obvious anti-oxidative effects, such as anti-aging, repairing, fading of pigment and freckle, etc. This product is widely used for whitening, freckling, anti-oxidation products, such as cream, lotion and products.
